Today is Honest Abe’s day of birth. I would have celebrated it by going to watch Lincoln but, I already did that and unfortunately I was bored to death. A movie about a civil war with absolutely no war scenes? It was about half an hour too long and too heavy on the dialogue.
The only thing that was spectacular was of course Daniel Day Lewis’ performance. He really embodied Lincoln, but I guess that’s easy when you spend a whole year pretending you really are Lincoln. Read more about how Lewis prepared for the role in this interesting TIME magazine article.

They say he’s the best actor of our time. I don’t know what to say. It’s a mouthful. He does a movie about once every 6 years but when he does you never forget it. It’s a debate you can have forever. In my opinion, De Niro is hard to top although he’s not doing himself any favors with those silly comedies over the past couple of years.
I’m also proud to announce that my agency did an awesome website chronicling the entire Killing Lincoln conspiracy. Check out the site at http://www.killinglincolnconspiracy.com
All in all, Abe was the shit. He ended slavery and he’s on the penny and the five dollar bill. Also his face is on a huge rock next to three other huge rock faces. Pretty sweet. Here’s a simulation of that rock thing fooling Google technology.
